viaNRS noise reduction system

The viaNRS (Noise Reduction System) tackles a problem conventional traffic technology ignores: noise. The mobile system combines the proven viasis VARIO (XL) full-matrix display with a noise meter that records the volume of passing vehicles. When an adjustable decibel threshold (dBA) is exceeded, the sensor transmits a radio signal to the LED display up to 100 m away, which gives the driver direct, individually designable feedback — from "Too loud!" to LED symbols such as a thumbs-down or sad smiley.

The viaNRS reminds motorists of the noise pollution they often cause unknowingly, allowing them to adjust their driving behaviour immediately. Not only noisy motorcycles are recorded, but also exceptionally loud cars and trucks, ensuring a general noise reduction. Especially where beautiful landscapes and the need for rest meet busy roads — on popular excursion routes, for example — the viaNRS is a simple and effective way to defuse conflicts between residents and road users.

Thanks to its 12 V battery supply the viaNRS is fully mobile and offers a particularly long operating time, which can be extended further with the optional solar power supply. The control panel in the battery housing allows measurement parameters to be adjusted directly on site.
